Workshops and Offerings
I believe that CREATIVE COMMUNITY HEALS and everyone deserves to have access to creative community.
I offer workshops in my home art studio, including FREE open studio times, where creatives can gather together and fellowship and create alongside one another.
In addition to teaching workshops in my home art studio, I teach in the local Wake Forest/Raleigh community, in area schools, community centers, homeschool groups, through my church, and for small groups.
Contact me if you have any questions about any of my workshops! I’m happy to help and/or create a special workshop that fits your group’s or individual’s needs.

Description: Sacred Creative Art Journaling is a contemplative, life-giving practice where faith, prayer, and surrender meet art journaling. For Christian creatives, it’s a discipline that connects us with our Creator and invites us to the embodied experience of Emmanuel. As we invite God into our creative process, we experience a security and attunement that allows our creative expression to become unhindered and free and our creative output to become a Spirit-led offering to Him and the world for His goodness, grace, and glory.
We explore what it means to create intuitively and practice the sweet and necessary surrender that is so often hard to tap into as Christians and for many who struggle with perfectionism. When we have the ability to ‘let go’ in our art, it carries over into our lives and helps with our daily surrender to the Lord. It also helps us to release stored-up emotions from our bodies. If the body keeps the score*, our art doesn’t have to.
With the use of mixed media art techniques, poetry, collage, watercolor, and other creative ways to fill our art journals, participants learn a new and meaningful way to connect with and worship the Lord.
All participants should bring a journal with pages thick/heavy enough to support various mixed media, typically 90 pounds or higher. Mixed media or watercolor-specific journals are perfect and can be found at Michael’s, Hobby Lobby, or on Amazon. Spiral or non-spiral bound does not matter. Reach out to Kelly if you have questions about this or need help getting a journal prior to our first gathering. In addition to a journal, bring your Bible, favorite pens and/or any art journaling supplies you already use and enjoy.
Art journaling experience is not required.

When our family lost everything from hidden toxic mold and became sick, we had to start our lives all over again and I wanted our home to be healing, soothing, and sacred. Interior design has always been something I am passionate about but my journey has changed the way I see HOME now. I have been able to transform our home and helped others transform theirs with simple exercises to discover their healing home. I would love to help you on your journey in creating a healing home.

Artist Dates are when artists take themselves on a date to be inspired. Julia Cameron coined this term in her best-selling book, ‘The Artist’s Way’.
These small groups join together to go on inspiration-filled dates to see and appreciate God and his beauty.

What people are saying…
The Sacred Art Journaling class has been one of the most meaningful and transformative experiences of my life. At a time when I was feeling a bit low, it provided exactly what I needed. The concept of combining art with worship and learning about God in such a creative way was something I had never imagined possible. I had never thought of connecting my faith with artistic expression, but this class showed me how powerful that connection could be.
Through this journey, I discovered how to channel my emotions into colors and collages without the need for words. It was incredibly therapeutic to translate my feelings into visual art, allowing me to release some of the weight I was carrying.
The sense of community was another highlight of this experience. The group of women I met in the class shared so many commonalities and unique connections that it felt like divine intervention brought us together.
I am profoundly grateful to Kelly, our inspiring teacher and worship leader. Her creativity, wisdom, and passion for both art and faith are truly remarkable. She taught us countless ways to express ourselves through art while deepening our spiritual connection. This class has been a blessing, and I am so thankful for the opportunity to participate.

For the past decade and beyond, I have thrown myself into the wonderful world of motherhood. As I focused on raising my kids, I placed my love for art on the back burner. I felt as though I had lost my passion for art and was almost scared to start again, due to my desire for perfectionism.
Taking the Sacred Art Journal class with Kelly has inwardly changed me by shifting my perspective. Kelly is a wonderful, caring, down-to-earth teacher who takes time for each student. She taught me that creating art isn’t about being perfect but experiencing the joy that art brings. She has made me appreciate the beauty in the little things.
I feel as though my passion for art has come back. What joy she truly brings! I don’t have to worry about my skill level, but I am just starting and enjoying the process.
This class has given me a whole new philosophy on art and journaling. It was a discovery I won’t forget. I would love to take the class over again because it was such a fun, uplifting adventure.

I have known Kelly for almost a year. I also follow her IG to look at her posted artwork. Often I wondered what went through her mind as she created those beautiful pieces of art? Then, through our interaction, I learned that it’s her heart and spirit she pours out onto the canvas. I understood that it’s her life's journey that she shares through every single piece of work she creates. Kelly embraces her life's journey by visualizing it through her art. I see love, strength, and resilience in her art.
If you are someone who is ready to be yourself, to be free, to embrace and express your life's journey through art, and share great laughter, please attend Kelly’s class. See what you will find… I have the utmost confident that you will find wonderful and awesome things in yourself through her class.
